Fantastic city. I could totally see myself moving there next year. But holy shit. People there cannot drive. I’ve driven/ridden in Chicago, Washington D.C., New York City, and Houston. All of these places are full of bad drivers. Not only are the drivers in Boston worse, the streets are the most confusing and perilous mess you’re likely to find in the nation, which likely contributes to the driving quality. Neither of these things dampened my enthusiasm. They did make for an amusing video, though.
Some of these clips are from back in Omaha.

You tried to drive in the Boston metro area. People there don’t drive, they use their vehicles to get from one point to another.

I say this with the greatest of affection though, as a native. Incidentally, part of my typical commute while cycling is actually captured in the lower map.

Come to Atlanta..... It will change your perspective on bad drivers....... hey i want to turn right in 500 ft. let me cut 10 people off go 3 lanes to the left in rush hour traffic, and then when i realize i cant make it back over to turn i will just stop in the middle of two lanes and block everyone!! :D. I don’t understand if you know you are turning right in 500 ft just stay in the right F’ing lane.... i just moved here from Chicago.. I am ready to move back based on just the drivers.

New York City is laid out on a grid, because that makes it easy to navigate.
Boston is laid out as a hub, with the streets like spokes on a wheel, because fuck you if you’re not from around here.
Boston is an awesome city, I like that I live about an hour away and can go there if I want but don’t need to drive in and out every day anymore. Holy hell is it a shit show at the end of the day. And at the beginning of the day. Middle of the day? Not looking so great either. There is literally no good time to enter or exit Boston.

I haven’t been to Boston, but I have been to Miami, and that’s the first city I’ve driven in that made me afraid for my life. So much so that if I see someone here driving with Florida plates, I get as far away from them as possible.

I totally agree on your Boston driving experience. Also I still like the town and would like to go back and check out more of the town.

I’ve ridden in a Phaeton around Atlanta once, but that was years ago.

Boston left, heh. I’m from West Hartford CT... I was shocked when I visited New Britain and everyone was doing that.

I’m glad I gave that picture a second glance. I didn’t notice all the one-way arrows at first. Damn.

At 6:33 why not just honk so they get the picture you are trying to get through?

I thought about it, but I was feeling too polite. I should’ve though.

Ah, the late merge on to the Masspike. If you live here, you come to expect it. Whatever terrible maneuver you imagine the driver ahead of you considering to do, but assume no one would actually do it, just know that they will in fact do it. Once you start doing that, there's no more surprises. If anything, it's more surprising when they don't do something ridiculous .

Omaha you say? My girlfriend’s brother plays for the Lancers. I’ll be out there in January for some time over break from college.

To be fair, the SUV at 2:37 signaled and there are a shit ton of intersections around here where you have to get IMMEDIATELY over a lane or two.
Also, hahahaha... yeah massachusetts left. It’s just a thing, sorry.

Yeah, in hindsight he was probably more of a courteous driver given the circumstances.

Boston is awful.... I live in NH and stay away as much as possible. I did however drive one of the first Vantages off the boat around 11 years ago through cambridge. Not sure what the owner was thinking!!! He was one of our race drivers and I pulled up to the airport to fly out like a hero in it at the age of 23.
